The notable features in most of the mid-size versions from General Motors Chevrolet Corvette, Colorado, Tahoe and others include brake performance, steering and high acceleration, while the negative shades pointed include small entry and exit, low fuel economy rates and quietness.

Features

The current generation Chevrolet Corvette line-up gains a new Grand Sport model for 2010. Two body styles are offered, convertible and coupe. Both the models are offered in two versions, the base model and the high performance Grand Sport. The performance oriented Grand Sport model was released as a replacement to the Z52 optional package offered by Chevrolet and it comes included with the features like transmission gearing, specific styling cues, brakes and suspension tuning.

Engine

The powertrain option remained same, a 6.2 liter V8 engine that delivers power up to 430 hp at 5900 rpm and torque of 424 lb ft at 4600 rpm and comes mated to either 6-speed manual or to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The other engines offered as optional to the model include a 6.2 liter super charged OHV V8 version that produces 638 hp at 6500 rpm and torque of 604 lb ft at 3800 rpm and a 7.0 liter V8 engine that delivers 505 hp of power at 6300 rpm and torque of 470 lb ft at 4800 rpm.

The close competitors to the Chevrolet Corvette model include Porsche 911, Jaguar XK Series, and Audi A5.
